This act will contain three main provisions:
- The metric system will be official system of measurements of the Humanist Republic of Mordan.
- Product information for consumers should be presented in metric units but other units are allowed as addition.
- Freedom of contract will be respected: contract parties are allowed to use any type of units as they see fit.
Good!
I suspected you were a fan of the metric system.
The world is, except the US. It pisses me off when i have to convert US measures to standard.
Even Liberia and Myanmar (the only other countries which did not officially implemented SI) are introduce legislation to make metric the norm.
It’s also ironical that the US was the first major country to adopt decimal currency and if Jefferson had his way they would have one of the leading nations of metrication.
Once in a while I get drawings in feet and have to start calculating what those dimensions are. Not interesting at all
So, to get things straight, usually you are working with metric units?
yes, all the time
Gallons, pounds, inches, miles… I encountered it every day.
Can’t they just use metres, litres, kilograms and so on. Who measures weights using stones!
Stones is actually English. Umericans use pounds.
Funny, I had to look up “stones” at Wikipedia 🙂
Poor baby. 😦
Mmmmm
I can measure a yard between my two hands. But have no idea of a meter. A travesty really. More proof that you gotta get to kids when they are young.
Poor baby. (I think I put this comment in the wrong place elsewhere)
No, guess not. Too many tiers. 🙂
It’s fine, don’t worry.
